Such Quiet Girls: A Thriller

Ten children, abducted in broad daylight-and buried alive.

Sage and her sister won't make it home from school today. Neither will the other children on Bus 315. But that's only the beginning of the nightmare.

New bus driver Jessa blames herself for what happened. She couldn't protect the kids she was supposed to deliver to daycare, just like she couldn't protect her own daughter three years ago. But this time, everything will be different. It has to be.

Trapped in a shipping container buried twenty feet underground, Jessa and the children do their best to stay calm. The kidnappers insist that if everyone behaves, they'll be freed when the ransom is paid. But Sage isn't sure they'll last that long. Neither is Jessa. It's dark and cramped, and with every passing minute it's getting harder to breathe.

With time-and air-running thin, Jessa and the children must find a way to outsmart their captors, or face an unthinkable fate.

Such Quiet Girls was inspired by actual events.

This book was sooooo good!!! First time reading anything from this author and I must say, if all their books are this good I have been severely sleeping on them. The pacing was on point, the different POVs each added to the story, and the ending was superb. I did both eye and ear reading as I didn’t want to put it down except to sleep. I stayed completely entertained and engaged in the story and this was a perfect read for me. Big kudos to Noelle Ihli!!!

Based on a true story so i was filled with goosebumps the entire time reading the book. I wish Jessa would have had more time with Soph at the end.

Really good, fast-paced book. The ending felt a little underwhelming. I guess I wanted to see more than two days after they got out of the bunker, how Jessa and the other kids acted with one another, if the parents showed Jessa love for keeping their kids safe, her and Sage reunited, what exactly happened with Ted and Andy... I just wish it were wrapped up a bit better. I also wondered why Sheena didn't go to the police as soon as she realized that no one was watching her. So proud of Sage and all the kiddos! It's heartbreaking to know this is based on a true story.

The way this book had my nerves shot…. Every mom’s worst nightmare is something happening to their children. And this was just that. A bus full of children goes missing and a mom receives a ransom note to save them all. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. It’s told from multiple POVs and I was just biting my nails into the very end. Noelle wrote an amazing book based on true events and I am just shooketh.

Absolutely loved this one. Kidnapping domestic thriller. This is my second by Ihli and it won’t be my last. Highly recommend. 10/10
