Still Me: A Novel (Me Before You Trilogy)

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Giver of Stars, discover the love story that captured over 20 million hearts in Me Before YouAfter You, and Still Me.

Louisa Clark arrives in New York ready to start a new life, confident that she can embrace this new adventure and keep her relationship with Ambulance Sam alive across several thousand miles. She steps into the world of the superrich, working for Leonard Gopnik and his much younger second wife, Agnes. Lou is determined to get the most out of the experience and throws herself into her new job and New York life.

As she begins to mix in New York high society, Lou meets Joshua Ryan, a man who brings with him a whisper of her past. Before long, Lou finds herself torn between Fifth Avenue where she works and the treasure-filled vintage clothing store where she actually feels at home. And when matters come to a head, she has to ask herself: Who is Louisa Clark? And how do you find the courage to follow your heart—wherever that may lead?

Funny, romantic, and poignant, Still Me follows Lou as she discovers who she is and who she was always meant to be—and learns to live boldly in her brave new world.

This was a sweet, somewhat predictable story with some of the characters you loved from Me Before You and After You and a few new ones. It has been several years since I read the last book with Louisa Clark but she's still just as quirky and fun as before. It's ok if you don't quite remember all the previous characters (I'm still trying to remember Lily and Jake). Louisa has moved to NYC for a year ready to start a new life and new adventures while keeping her new romance with "ambulance" Sam still alive. She is working as a personal assistant to Agnes Gopnik, the much younger 2nd wife of Mr. Gopnik. Louisa's new life collides with her old life when she suddenly meets Josh, who is charming and handsome and reminds her of Will Traynor (Me Before You). Louisa befriends the feisty old lady who also lives in the Gopnik building. This is a story full of love, hope and friendship where you least expect it.

You know a book made an impression when you think about it all night when you wake up. I have loved every book about Louisa Clark and her journey to happiness, and I loved this one too. I was glad to see her end up in a good place and I enjoyed her having one last Lou misadventure before she got to her happy ending.

Greatly enjoyed this book but didn’t enjoy the ending. Really hoping that there will be another book in the works.
