Readers say *Someone Else's Shoes* by Jojo Moyes is a fun, touching, and well-written story with strong character development and memorable supporting...
Slightly implausible events but great story of female friendships and overcoming adversity.
I picked this up because of a friend's recommendation.
I was expecting a fluff, romance book, but this book had a little more bite to it. It turned into a book that was really wasn't expecting. I got to the point in the book where I couldn't put it down.
I recommend this book.

JoJo Moyes does it again. This was a fun, funny, touching story that starts with a mix-up. Sam is a married mother of a young adult daughter and wife to out of work husband. She is exhausted as the primary breadwinner. Her bff has cancer and she stops in weekly to help her parents. She needs a break. Nisha is a privileged, wealthy American living in England with her jet-setting husband while her teenage son is in a boarding school back in America. One day, while at the gym, they accidently end up with the other woman's gym bag. What ensues is a funny, touching story of what happens when you are in somebody else's shoes. Sam is rushing to a business meeting after the gym, and she has Nisha's red Christian Louboutin shoes. She wears them and feels newfound confidence and crushes her meetings. Nisha, however, has nothing to wear and is desperate to get her gym bag back. When she finally makes her way back to The Bentley (upscale hotel), she finds her husband has locked her out and wants a divorce. What he really wants is the shoes back before he will agree to any kind of settlement. Why? What is so special about those shoes? The women finally do meet up and they discover they need each other to help right a wrong.
There is a lot going on in this hefty 400+ page book. The supporting characters were great too! It is well written & has great character development. Yay for strong women! I really liked Sam; had a lot of empathy for her as she was dealing with many things. I didn't like Nisha at first but once you realize where she came from and what she is up against, I understood her more. I loved Jasmine, the maid at The Bentley. There is a bit of everything in here-romance, mystery, heartbreak, female empowerment, self-discovery and friendship.

a lot of fun as usual...
A fun book to read. I couldn’t put it down. Some parts are a bit implausible but just go along with it for a ride. Some unforgettable characters: Nisha and despicable Karl, kindhearted Jasmine, and the adventures of Sam who is transformed by the shoes. I can see this being made into a movie!!
