Song of the Dead (Reign of the Fallen Book 2)

I was hoping this second book would kick it up a notch after Reign of the Fallen kind of slowed down, became predictable, and went nowhere. Unfortunately, it did not. The worst part about it is that I expected some time to have passed, some wisdom to have been gained, and some newfound maturity and intelligence to be added to Sparrow's one-dimensional character, but no...this book literally picks up immediately where the first left off. It's full of the same: everyone makes friends, everyone has problems, rinse and repeat. While the book is readable and not horrible to get through, it's nothing I'd recommend to others.
