This was an up and down read for me. Though I liked some parts of it, overall, it just felt a little too shallow and pointless. The world and characters just didn't quite have that deeply developed feel that usually helps me love or hate them. I plan on reading Song of the Dead next and hoping that maybe it hits a little harder than this one.
