As much as I like Kwame Alexander’s work, this story fell a little flat for me. Maybe it’s because I loved The Crossover so much, or maybe it’s because I still felt like I had a lot of questions/lack of resolution at the end of the book.
Definitely a unique story though!

Wow! What a remarkable and phenomenal story! Kwame Alexander does it again!! Since I love music, I was immediately drawn to this book and I love the way that music is intertwined into the story but I didn't know that I was going to be so touched by the story too. Beautiful themes of family, love, identity, and hope. GO READ IT!
