Who throws a wedding on Christmas Day and demands their wedding party dress as holiday characters for the rehearsal dinner on Christmas Eve? Ace Bonetti’s best friend and Goldie Jacobs’ older brother Jack, that’s who. The Jacobs family is “the family that everyone wished they were born into. [Theirs] were the quintessential parents that childhood dreams were made of…[they] were madly in love, and they supported their children in every way, shape, and form.” For Ace, Goldie Sunshine Jacobs has always been “that girl. Her name fit her well. Beautiful, funny, thoughtful, smart, and kind…And Goldie was always the girl [he] compare everyone else to. Sadly, no one compared to her.” Both of them have left town and haven’t seen each other until Jack’s Christmas wedding brings them together as maid of honor and best man. Jack discovers that Goldie has kept one of his Christmas gifts from the past. “I’d seen this place online a few weeks earlier when I was shopping for holiday gifts. The store made custom snow globes, and you could choose your song and what you wanted inside the glass. I thought it would be a cool gift for you.” [Insert swoon here!] The snowglobe is the sign Ace needs to return permanently. “It feels like home. And there’s a girl I’m crazy about who happens to live in White Cap Mountain. And I hear she’s finally single.” Goldie agrees on one condition: “I made myself a promise when I moved back home…I wouldn’t ever settle again…I know what I want…and I’m looking at him…I’ve told you what I want. Tell me what you want.” Ace feels the same: ‘I want you. All of you’... ‘Well then, what are you waiting for?’” [Insert spice here!] “Holy hot chocolate, this man was too much!...It would definitely go down as the best Christmas I’d ever had. But the truth was, it felt like so much more than that. It felt like we’d just found our forever. And I was never letting go.” Download Laura Pavlov’s Snow Place Like Home, buckle up your sleighbelt, cuz “all the single reindeers, all the single reindeers” are “gettin’ grinchy wit it,” and keep your eyes peeled cuz Sarah Jessica Parker and George Clooney make cameo appearances!
