Whew...glad that's over.
I've got the fever...I picked up the first book with no idea what I was getting into. I thought it was just another paranormal romance. The plot sounded intriguing. I ended up reading the whole series in 5 days...and then starting over to reread it. I read through it so fast the first time I missed some twists and clues. Well, and I just was so consumed I wasn't ready to say goodbye. I have no idea why this series is so addictive. I don't typically read romance novels, and actually had no clue when I started that this was one. I could have done without the detailed sex scenes. I'm just one of those readers who likes to leave more to the imagination. But the plot and characters sucked me in. Like everyone else I became enamored with Barrons. Who was this man? I still feel some things were left unanswered but I'm okay with that...for now. So, I advise you start this series when you don't have much else going on. Be prepared to be a little obsessed.
interesting but anticlimactic ending, overall the series plot was very interesting, very problematic themes, but glad jericho and mac ended up together.
Thank you Karen for letting me keep Barrons!! This was the best series I have ever read, and there is tough competition! This series had me so emotionally tied in knots I had to fight to adjust to reality each day. Karen Marie Moning is a true artist, a wizard; I have immense respect for her talent as a writer. I will always have the fever and Mac and Jericho will stay with me forever.
My all time favorite series ender for books. I'm very picky about how i want a series to end, I don't want it to be perfect where the main character gets everything they want against all odds. I'd much rather a small amount of hurt that they have over come and over all a happy ending. This had all of that and more and I recommend it to any one i see holding a book. Karen Moning did the unthinkable. She wrote an ending that i had no complaints about!
