Secret Scripture

I didn't finish this book. It was about an old Irish woman who is currently in a home for mentally ill patients. We don't know why she was originally placed there, but now she is being reevaluated. Seems cruel to do this to a 100 year old woman. What will they do with her if it is found that she was placed there unlawfully? Good grief, would they turn her out on the street? I listened to the audio version and the narrator's voice was enough to put you to sleep. I thought I would learn a bit about Irish history since it is set in Ireland, but that did not turn out to be the case.
