Everyone has their own opinions but I’m so shocked at the people who didn’t like this book!
It blew my mind, I thought it was beautifully written!
You get three POV’s
Tova
Cameron
And Marcellus the Octopus. And from the beginning you know Marcellus doesn’t have much time left.
There was such a good story in this book, Tova is an older woman who works at the aquarium where Marcellus lives so you get an insight on both of them from each other.
Cameron is just a man who’s had shit luck his whole life and dealt a bad hand honestly.
But the way this book ties everything together just blew my mind. It was so beautiful, I felt a ton of emotions throughout all of it, it’s just what I want out of a book. It was such a unique story. I give it 5 stars!

Loved the octopus perspective and dialog. Great book. Can’t wait to watch it on screen
Oh, my heart! What an exceptionally moving novel. I didn’t know I would fall in love with an octopus, but Marcellus is the heart of the story. This book is about grief, love, magic, growth, change, found family, animal and human. It is quirky and the characters are dysfunctional, but so lovable, even at their most frustrating. And it has a happy ending. Don’t miss this book!
This book is a must read for everyone. I cannot say enough good things. I loved the way this story is laid out and how we are introduced to all of our characters. Not only is the plot creative but it’s filled with emotion. I was attached to all of the characters and am genuinely sad I’m done reading this one. It’s hard to express what makes this so good without spoilers so the best I can do is say, you really need to read this one!
I absolutely loved this book. The end kind of fizzled out for me, but otherwise I loved gaining insight from the various chsracters perspectives.
