My least favorite of the New Haven Series. Insta-love but slow burn 🫤 Nadia literally bumps into Sebastian and after an all of 10-second conversation he’s completely smitten and ready to turn the world upside down for her. But they don’t actually get together until more than halfway through the book. Now I don’t mind a slow burn if it’s done right but this unfortunately wasn’t. There was absolutely no development in the relationship between the characters. There wasn’t any real getting to know each other or the development of a genuine friendship to keep me engaged through the slow burn. And when they finally do get together, they’re instantly madly in love. Don’t get me wrong, Sebastian is top-tier book boyfriend material (he’s an attentive/you don’t have to ask type of partner that will fuck somebody up over his woman šŸ˜). But as far as the storyline goes and the progression of the relationship itself, this book is lacking. Because I can’t DNF a book, I forced myself to push through it. But things don’t get interesting until about 70% into the book and when it finally does pick up, it’s over.
