This book taught me a lot about myself. What I'm looking for, and what I need to do with my life. I enjoyed the story, but it lagged at times or the Main Character, "Angel" kept repeating the same things....but I think that's the point lol. I definitely recommend it.
I usually hate Christian novels. Everything is so quaint and there are good people and bad people... Not at all the way I experience faith. I loved that this book had flawed characters that struggled with faith and had real difficulties.
It was so hard to read because of the subject matter, but I couldn’t put it down. Great themes of forgiveness and redemption and value of true love.
Wow, wow, wow... This book!! It has an incredible story line based off of the book of Hosea in the Bible, but it is NOT a cliche Christian romance. Forwarning for young readers, or those who have sexual trauma in their past... This book is full of mature content and some hard to read experiences this young girl faces.. It is an incredible, intense, emotional, and gut wrenching story of this young lady whose life is turned upside down based on her mothers choices to try to provide for her daughters well being... Based in what seems to be 1920's ish.... With a happy ending :)
