It was so hard to read because of the subject matter, but I couldn’t put it down. Great themes of forgiveness and redemption and value of true love.
Wow, wow, wow... This book!! It has an incredible story line based off of the book of Hosea in the Bible, but it is NOT a cliche Christian romance. Forwarning for young readers, or those who have sexual trauma in their past... This book is full of mature content and some hard to read experiences this young girl faces.. It is an incredible, intense, emotional, and gut wrenching story of this young lady whose life is turned upside down based on her mothers choices to try to provide for her daughters well being... Based in what seems to be 1920's ish.... With a happy ending :)

No book has pulled me in like this one did in a very long time. Such an utterly heartbreaking story, but heartwarming at the same time.
The characters became so real to me, their thoughts, feelings, struggles, and actions all made sense, all felt so authentic, but utterly infuriating at the same time. If I could figure out how to shake a fictional character, I'd have done so! :P
But now that I'm done, I'm going to piece myself back together. Have a nice day.
