I think I liked this one even more than the first! I was pretty surprised at the turn of events, I didn’t see a lot of it coming which I appreciated. This book had a lot of depth and complicated themes. I always appreciate grief in a story & it’s intertwinement in our lives. This duology was incredible & I’m sad to see the characters go but it was a perfect end

First, if you haven’t read Heartless Hunter, go do that first and then come back. Now, this book is SO GOOD! It provides a lot of context we were looking for after book one. I love the new dynamic we see between Rune and Gideon, and I truly enjoyed the evolution of both of their characters. It’s fast paced and packed with action that keeps us on our toes in the best way. I am so obsessed with this duology because it gives us our favorite romantasy aspects while also providing a unique magic system and its own twists and mysteries. I don’t know if all of my questions are answered but I feel that is the point. I believe we’re supposed to have some loose ends so we can make our own conclusions to allow us to be even more connected to this story. I felt so many emotions while reading this book which is one of the most telling things of a good book for me.

Absolutely loved it!

This duology has me so damn happy. I've read a lot of books and both of these books have broke me and put me back together. The first half of the book I was literally growling at it snarling you love each other, make it happen. But I kept on reading and as I read I relaxed. My heart was all over the place. Will they or won't they? You'll have to read the doulogy to find out.

This duology makes me so damn happy. It ended perfectly. The characters growth is beautiful as they fight their ways through their own thoughts. The tears, the smiles, the laughter and the growls were all worth it.
