I am disappointed in how this ended.
There were definitely some loose ends - are we totally going to ignore Ascher talking to the fire?
I appreciated more of Sadie's character development, and was irritated at the same time of the self-sacrificing that felt over the top. I still love and appreciate her spunk and quick wit, but that can only take the story so far.
I also absolutely hate that Sadie's abuser became someone more "substantial" to the overall story and character hierarchy. It felt like Mas was trying to make an excuse for the trauma Sadie went through instead of letting het work through it or getting revenge.
I can appreciate the HEA feeling but there are so many loose ends. I know that it is part of a larger multi-verse but as the first trilogy before moving on to Aran's story - I am left disappointed.
