WOW! This book was definitely outside my normal reads, but I absolutely loved it! Canât wait to see the movie and compare. Andy Weir thank you for the twist and turns of space!! My two favorite take aways, Jazz Hands and MeBurgers!!
A friend recommended this, and it's stayed on the edges of my mind long after I finished it.
The journey of an amnesiac school teacher and a rock-crab-spider-alien on their way to save both their worlds was incredibly touching. And hilarious. And heartwarming. I actually loved all the scientific jargon and geekouts; they felt very realistic to the main character and also served as great lil exposition tidbits to the average layman.
All in all, a great read. Makes me appreciate the vastnessâand delicatenessâof space beyond our planet.
If you get the audio book the main character sounds just like Tom Hanks. Not maybe his child idk but it's an awesome little surprise though I picture him more of a school teacher vibe with so much riding on his shoulders... You can't help but to ask will he make it out alive?!
