Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission—and if he fails, humanity and the earth itself will perish.

Except that right now, he doesn’t know that. He can’t even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it.

All he knows is that he’s been asleep for a very, very long time. And he’s just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

His crewmates dead, his memories fuzzily returning, Ryland realizes that an impossible task now confronts him. Hurtling through space on this tiny ship, it’s up to him to puzzle out an impossible scientific mystery—and conquer an extinction-level threat to our species.

And with the clock ticking down and the nearest human being light-years away, he’s got to do it all alone.

Or does he?

Hailed by USA Today as “an epic story of redemption, discovery, and cool speculative sci-fi,” Project Hail Mary is an irresistible interstellar adventure as only Andy Weir could deliver.

Yes I gave it a 10!! I loved this book!! I'm a geek but to be honest this was my first sifi book in a very long time. I thought the science to story ratio was perfect! I loved Rocky and Grace's relationship. From learning each other's language both "spoken" and body as well as becoming friends it was all just chef's kiss! The science was pretty cool also. I didn't see that ending coming and glad it was an HEA. I had my doubts for a while there.

The best laugh-out-loud, cry-out-loud, and thrilling book I've ever read. It's super entertaining and heartfelt that I still think about it months after reading it. Can't wait to read it again.

I loved it so much. I guess if you’re an expert in biology, science, physics, you’d probably fact check everything but I’m not so everything made perfect sense to my brain.
I couldn’t put this book down, I loved Rocky, I love the MC, he was witty and funny. The whole mission had me stressed out and his memory slowly coming back just added an extra element of mystery to the whole book. Maybe one of my favorite reads of 2024
