Another classic Cussler. Reading his pseudo-history meets pseudo-science meets impossibly lucky heros is a guilty pleasure I've had since I picked up Deep Six back in the 80s. Cussler books are always good fun. I'm not sure the bad guys are up to the normal par of dastardly evil (although the fact that the Responsivists seem to be a jab at the Church of Scientology made me chuckle in many places), but the action is top-quality and the hero-triumphs-over-evil-doer as viscerally satisfying as always.
