This book had ALL the mess 😝 Rakim and his fraternal twin Ayan was not close like his identical twin brothers Zaire and Josias were. Ayan kind of had a one sided beef with Rakim and was so envious and jealous.. but that was mostly due to the way they were raised by they horrible daddy Nate. A lot of his flaws carried to Ayan mostly, but all of them had vices from their upbringing. Rakim went to prison for 3yrs after defending LaMia’s honor from being disrespected. While locked up, she got with his brother(skank) and had 2 kids. Rakim was close with his cousin Talia who had gotten real sick from cancer and kidnapped the daughter of a surgeon in order to get him back from vacation and perform a needed surgery. Daylin was his captive and they actually fell for one another. Even though she had Seun but had told them they needed a break. Lots of drama with Josias and his baby mommas Tarin and Kasia. Zaire got hooked on pills but had a short lived connection with Tea who would later carry on his legacy with the help of Mylo. It was a good read
Rakim is THAT man!
From page 1 it was a riot. Rakim came in hot and kept me turning page after page.
I enjoyed how strong he was. He was a man through and through. Even in his hefty decisions, good and bad - he stood 10 toes down. He carried his family even with strains and he ensured everyone had a fair share.
Daylin came in and I was immediately smitten. She was the sweet that Rakim needed and deserved. She softened his rough and showed him that love is quiet and peaceful. Now don’t get it twosted, Daylin is no pushover and she demanded respect…even while being a hostage. 🤣🤣🤣🤭
