From Stockholm to Hawaii to the mountain vastness of Peru, from disbelief to radiant affirmation, she at last discovers the roots of her very existence . . . and the infinite possibilities of life.

Shirley opens her heart to explore the meaning of a great and enduring passion with her lover Gerry; the mystery of her soul’s connection with her best friend David; the tantalizing secrets behind a great actor’s inspiration with the late Peter Sellers. And through it all, Shirley’s courage and candor opens new doors, new insights, new revelations—and a luminous new world she invites us all to share.

I rarely rate a book less than three stars, but this book has been my least favorite book since I began my reading journey again four years ago. I just could not connect with the characters nor could I keep engaged with the author’s writing style. I wanted to love this book so much, but it fell completely short for me. Yes, there were points where I did laugh out loud, which was great, but as a whole, I was sorely disappointed with this book. Also, as a childfree woman, I couldn’t connect with the pregnancy premise. The best part of this book was that there were disability MC’s, which was unique and gave a fresh perspective.

Wow. I loved this book. I listened to this on Libby and for one, the audio version was so easy to listen to.

But can we clap for the disability representation?! I’m not one but two characters?!

Adored.
I will be reading all of her books.

All I can say is that this book feels like a warm hug, a warm hug from Bo. Bo is the greenest green flag that's ever existed. He was sweet and patient and understanding. He was definitely a fictional man because there is no way a real person like this could exist, but I loved it.

There is no third act break which was nice. I was worried the author was going to have the dad pass away because it was at the 80% point, but luckily he was just hung over. If she had done that I was going to throw the book and rate this 1 star. I'm so glad that didn't happen (lol).

Win and Bo are living their best life together and I am so happy for them!
