One with You (Crossfire, Book 5) (Crossfire, 5)

The instant number one bestseller

FROM #1 INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLING AUTHOR SYLVIA DAY
The final chapter in the global blockbuster Crossfire quintet

Gideon Cross. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably.

Marrying him was a dream come true. Staying married to him is the fight of my life. Love transforms. Ours is both a refuge from the storm and the most violent of tempests. Two damaged souls entwined as one.

We have bared our deepest, ugliest secrets to one another. Gideon is the mirror that reflects all my flaws … and all the beauty I couldn’t see. He has given me everything. Now, I must prove I can be the rock, the shelter for him that he is for me. Together, we could stand against those who work so viciously to come between us.

But our greatest battle may lie within the very vows that give us strength. Committing to love was only the beginning. Fighting for it will either set us free ... or break us apart.

Heartbreakingly and seductively poignant, One with You is the breathlessly awaited finale to the Crossfire saga, the searing love story that has captivated millions of readers worldwide.

(Crossfire #2- #5) I´m torn with how to review this one..... I had planned to write a review for each of the books in the crossfire series. The review for book #1 is already out, but after reading all five books, it doesn't feel like this novel deserves any more time. I've like this series since the beginning, but what a sope opera this story turned out to be. Dragging out the drama and adding a million side stories. I can't believe there is a book four and five! I think that this series could have been easily finished in three books, and in my opinion the last to books totally wasn't necessary. They wasn't bad per se, but they wasn't good either. It was just pointless and I was honestly waiting for the book to get over after a while. ..................... "You've changed my life, Eva. And you did the impossible; you transformed me. I like who I am now. I never thought that would happen." - Gideon Cross .................... For some reason, I still ended up giving each of the books 4/5 stars, except the last book I gave 3/5 stars. Something about the way Sylvia Day writes, made it bearable. There was part of this series that I loved, While other parts bored or confused me. The tumultuous romance between Gideon Cross and Eva Tramell has endured more than any relationship should; Heartbreak, betrayal, passion, pain, lust love and loss. Through the five books they've come a long way since that New York city morning in which fate pushed them together; When Gideon glanced out the window to see a disarmingly beautiful blond. .................... "I´m obsessed with you, angel. Addicted to you. You're everything I've ever wanted or needed, everything I've ever dreamed of. You're everything. I live and breathe you. For you." .................... "She hugged me so tightly I could hardly breath. But I didn't need air. I had her." .................... I loved, loved Gideon! His love for Eva didn't have a limit. He loved whit his everything and more!! This man was so perfectly flawed. And his better half was Eva<3 .................... "I´d kill for you, give up everything I own for you... but I won't give you up." .................... But a lot of things just didn't make sense, and it's kind of crazy that after five books, the author still chose to leave a number of loose ends. I actually thought that my book was lacking pages! I just refuse to belive the series ended the way it did! spice: 4/5
