I really liked thissss!
Jersey and Vase were meant to be! Their love story was so cute and felt so familiar.
First of all it was funny AF! The little jabs Jersey threw at her ex were laugh out loud hilarious! “Actually I may have lost my touch so if I need some throat refreshing lessons I’mma call you” 🤣
This was a love that I could believe in. It was organic and grew with a solid foundation of taking time to get to know each other, and relish in each other’s presence. There was actual romance. I appreciate the fun dates and longing that they both had for each other. Often times “romance” stories miss the passion of building up to making love. The characters have a first kiss that leads to sex, but there’s something so special about a first kiss that keeps you wanting more.
He even asked her to be his girlfriend!! So sweet! “Let me disarm your heart, J”. 😍
“I craved Jersey, feigning for her melon scent, her soft touch, and the feel of her soft skin against mine. She could be laying on my chest and my soul still felt like I needed more”. 😍😍😍
“Vase was my favorite everything.”
Whew, the sex was OFF THE CHARTS and they were some BOF’s!!! Very noteworthy, very nasty, 📝
Zee Renee and Jaceon Hunter both gave great performances. I really loved Jaceon’s smooth sexy voice and would love to hear him read to me again!!
I saw someone in a FB Book group who said they didn’t like the over usage of certain words, but I honestly didn’t pick up on it with the audiobook.
Let me start off by saying the Prologue brought me here and carried me through to read the rest of this story! Lol! This was a beautiful love story. I really enjoyed MMC Vayce’s mature character. Jersei was loved on so hard it was screaming couple goals for me! I gave it less than 10 stars because the vulgar language just seemed to be used throughout the book unnecessarily (especially the N-word). Other than that, their origin love story was adorable and the spice was just right, and then some.
Off the Charts is the kind of romance that grabs you by the heart from page one and refuses to let go. Zee Renee delivers a story that is equal parts tender, messy, passionate, and deeply human—exactly what readers crave in an emotionally driven contemporary romance.
At its core, the book shines because of its complex, beautifully flawed characters. Renee doesn’t write cardboard cutouts; she writes people—people with history, insecurities, dreams, and wounds that feel lived‑in. The chemistry between the leads is electric, but what makes the story truly resonate is the emotional honesty beneath the heat. Their connection feels earned, layered, and vulnerable in a way that makes you root for them long before they realize they’re rooting for each other.
Renee’s writing style is smooth, immersive, and full of heart. She balances humor with heartbreak, tension with tenderness, and desire with depth. The pacing is tight, the dialogue feels real, and the emotional beats land exactly where they should. It’s the kind of book you inhale in one sitting and then think about long after you’ve closed it.
What sets Off the Charts apart is how it explores love not just as a spark, but as a journey—one that requires courage, self‑reflection, and the willingness to be seen fully. Renee captures that beautifully.
If you love romance with rich character development, emotional complexity, and chemistry that leaps off the page, Off the Charts is absolutely worth your time.
