I liked this thriller from Heather Gudenkauf. It is fast paced, well written and has believable characters. Amelia is a nurse, when a tragic accident leaves her deaf and her life unravels. Fast forward two years and she is slowly getting back on her feet. When she discovers a dead body in the river near her cabin, she is caught up in a disturbing mystery. As clues begin to surface, Amelia finds herself swept into an investigation that hits too close to home. Is her new neighbor involved? Her new boss? Or her soon to be ex-husband? Things are not always as they seem.

Another home run from Heather Gudenkauf and of course, another favorite to add to the list read by Julia Whelan. She continues to be my favorite audiobook narrator.

The story is so well done, and I absolutely love the deaf representation!!! It’s not the most twisty-crazy thriller, but it’s really good and a quick read with a satisfying ending. :)

It was interesting to read from a def persons point of view. I liked the main characters active lifestyle and setting in the woods. Stitch is my favorite 😻 I did not guess the ending, but I suppose all the clues were there.
