New Moon (Twilight)

In this irresistible continuation of the New York Times bestselling Twilight Saga, a heartbroken and reckless Bella clings to the support of Jacob, while new threats of danger and vengeance test her and Edwards's romance--and chances of survival. For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella could ever have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning. Bella and Edward face a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampiric love story has reached literary immortality. Now we get werewolves, broken hearts & still young love.
The device the author uses to past the time of Bella's catatonic, zombie state was incrediably powerful for me. Yes, it even moved me to tears.

A continuing tale of Bella and Edward- Edward thinks leaving Bella will keep her from harm. Bella falls apart and finds comfort in Jake-a boy from the reservation - she starts taking chances in order to hear Edward's voice cautioning her - she feels it's the only way to be close to him - she goes cliff diving - Edward thinks she's killed herself - he trys to do the same, ends up in Italy where Bella shows up to save him.
Not as good as "Twilight"

The first book was soooo much better. There are more things that irked me in this book.
#1: Bella doesn’t like birthdays. Who in their right mind doesn’t like birthdays?!! That’s just crazy! You get your way, everyone is supposed to be nice to you, and you get presents.
#2: Bella is worried that she is getting older than Edward. He 109 years old not just 17. It is so stupid, who cares if they are a little bit older than a significant other. That is part of the excitement of dating and being with someone new!
#3: Bella stays depressed for 4 months and stays in her room (apart from school) with no human contact. I understand how she feels, breakups suck. However, she shouldn’t ostracize herself from society for 4 freakin months!! She should hang out with her friends, read more books, get new hobbies, get a glow up. Literally anything is better than her just sitting in her room depressed.
#4: Bella thinks it’s a great idea to constantly put herself in danger so she can see Edward. Is anyone else concerned for this child? Again, the lack of logic just astounds me.
#5: Bella decides to travel to Italy to save Edward. I don’t care if you still love your ex, (we all have that small spot) but you DON’T stay in contact with them!!! You DON’T save them from themselves! Jacob was literally right there, he’s great! Isn’t that enough for BELLA!!!
#6: Bella is willing to kill herself to save Edward. I mean seriously! Boyfriends are great and all but they are not worth your LIFE! We probably breakup with most of them anyway. Now your husband is a different story in a sense but still!
#7: After everything with the Voultri, Bella still wants to be a vampire and wants the Cullens to vote on it. She would rather give up her parents, friends, dreams, and life to be a monster! She wants to drink blood for the rest of her life to be with Edward! They have only been dating for what a few months!! This is absolutely insane!
This is my least favorite out of all the 4 books. I did like that she spent more time with Jacob and ALMOST fell for him. Jacob is sooooo much better for Bella. Really the only good thing in this book was Jacob.
