Re-read 15 years later. Eclipse is my favorite book of the series. I also think this is the series that made me hate love triangles. Jacob and Edward were both manipulating the Bella. Bella of course was terrible to everyone. Things that bother me now, that didn't bother me before. The constant threat of self harm from the main characters, Bellas treatment of Alice, Renee missing Bellas high school graduation, Bellas school friends - Jessica and Lauren sucked, Mike holding the torch for Bella....just messy. Also... its a book so I am here for the mess. Jumping straight into Breakjng Dawn just like its 2008 all over again...I am enjoying this binge read.

This is the book that makes me take a second to remember what the plot was about. It’s the more forgettable plot from all the books in this saga since it’s really the B plot from the previous book. The introduction of the newborns was a nice touch to confuse the reader and make the reader suspect of a new threat. It kept one interested enough in the plot. Stephanie Meyer made sure to give Jacob complete character assassination in this book to make sure you would be team Edward. The weakest book from the saga in my opinion but a nice one to set up the end since we get a glimpse at the Volturi yet again before the final book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dramatic, Tense, and Full of Love-Triangle Chaos Eclipse turned up the intensity on every level—more action, more drama, and way more romantic angst. The love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob was absolute chaos, and while it had me frustrated at times, I could not stop reading. Bella is caught between two completely different worlds, and while I knew where her heart was leading, the push-and-pull dynamic between Edward and Jacob made things so messy (in the best way). Jacob, full of confidence and so much attitude, refuses to step aside, while Edward, ever the protective and brooding vampire, struggles with his own possessiveness. The tension was real, and every interaction felt charged.
