My Temptation (Kingston Lane)

Enter a world of luxury, lust and love with this scorching first title in T L Swan's provocative and witty Kingston Lane series.

The first time I laid eyes on Henley James, I was mesmerized.

The chemistry between us was like nothing I'd ever felt.

Impeccable suit, dimpled smile. He was charming and gorgeous, sophisticated and suave. He gave me his business card and asked me to call.

His dating game was strong; I was gone from his first smile. I'd love to tell you our date was a raging success, but it wasn't. Far from it.

I decided right there on that day that Henley James and I would forever be mortal enemies; I would never think of him again.

Three years later, I bought my dream home. I'm so excited to meet my neighbors--that is, until I do.

Oh no! What are the chances?

It's him. Still single, still the hottest man alive, and still obnoxiously sarcastic. He saunters around wearing next to nothing and refuses to close the blinds at night.

I will not let myself think of him at all costs. It could be my sanity.

My temptation is a nightmare.

This was very reminiscent of the Miles High series. I felt like you could change Henley's last name from James to Miles and it'd be one in the same. I highly enjoyed the Miles High series, so I say that as a good thing. I enjoyed this one as I do all of T.L. Swan's books. It was a very quick and easy one sitting read for me. The emotional damage that was Henley, was well written and you could feel his pain. You could also feel the pain he inflicted on Juliet. They had great chemistry so I'm glad they got their HEA, even if they took the scenic route to get there. She gently broke down his walls and showed him that loving someone else is ok, and that losing them is always going to be something that can happen. I think losing his dad really solidified that...but it also helped him realize that Juliet was it for him. I was very nervous that Henley was going to screw things up when Jenny was trying to push her way into the relationship and stepping on Juliet's toes...but I'm glad he turned down her advances. After everything they'd been through already, I would have been heartbroken if he'd given in. I felt like the ending was great, and I'm excited to see what Blake's book has in store.
