We listened to this audiobook on one of our many drives. It was a charming tale of small town and rural life in Nebraska, one presumes in the late 19th century (originally published 1918). The characters are lovingly drawn and mostly likable [except for Mrs Shimerda] and it's fun to see the friendships forged in childhood being revisited during adult years.
