Mothers and daughters are so completely intertwined. Are we really destined to become our mothers? They will always exert an influence on our lives. We will recognize them in us and us in them. Eventually, we figure it out and make peace with our mothers and with ourselves.
I am a sucker for inter generational type of stories. More so, a close look at the mother-daughter relationship. And although the FMC lives far from her mother, I truly felt the deep need to please your parent. To continue to honor parents no matter if you a married with children, and breaking away from that type of mindset is SO DIFFICULT.
But I love the development of her growing and growing into this version she wants to be. This was a lovely read with so much for me to relate to.
