Not nearly as good as the first two. Strange ending if you ask me.

Kind of disappointing after the other two. Seemed like she didn't really know what to do with Katniss in the end, just like nobody else knew what to do with her.

**spoiler alert** I loved hunger games, i really did. Then Catching fire came and miss collins went in a direction i NEVER would have expected....backwards. She sent them BACK into the hunger games, which took me so off guard i actually liked this better even than the first. Mockingjay was a totally different story. I NEED a happy ending to like a series, and i'm sorry but "as happy as humanly possible" is not good enough for me. If she wouldn't have killed off the little sister everything would have been fine, she killed off enough of the characters to illustrate that this was a story about overcoming odds and making sacrifices to achieve the greater good ect. that prim didn't need to die. In fact when she did die I suddenly felt like the whole series was a waste of time. The WHOLE reason any of this happened was because Katniss couldn't bare her little sister going to certain death. And how she wrote Gale out as if he was just an issue that needed to be taken care of annoyed me as well. I give this book a D because at least she ended with Peeta, quite possibly the only thing i liked about this book even if she was a miserable waste of existance after all was said and done. :p

5 stars for the book. 5 stars for Peeta, Gale, Finnick. 0 stars for Katniss who was incredibly annoying this book.

I don't remember what I thought about the ending when the book first came out but I really enjoyed it as an adult. I honestly think the series hits a lot harder in adulthood and am glad I reread.

This book was more violent than the others. The ending was very satisfying.
