This book was interesting but I felt like it was too long. I loved reading about Houston/Galveston Texas during the civil rights era from a person living there at the time. This book was a thorough accounting of her life and I can tell there was a lot of thought was put into this. It would make a great book to discuss but it's long.
Rich story telling
Amazing.
This woman's life showed her strength and intelligence. Her compassion. Her ability to handle whatever life throws at her. She is far more than just the mother of famous children. She is thoughtful, resilient, strategic and talented in her own right.
Very good book!
