Matriarch: A Memoir

Tina Knowles does an incredible job describing her childhood and adult experiences, good and bad. Her story is engulfed in heartache and disappointment by Matt Knowles. It is easy to initially believe this book will be about Beyonce. However, Tina is the star in this book. She also intertwines the deep-rooted racial disparities of the south, particularly Louisiana where her family originated. The book also include the history of Weeks Island. I see this book eventually becoming a movie.
