I can't believe how quickly I'm flying through this series. I will regret it, very much when I finish the last book but I can't help it! Don't judge me. I tried, really tried to set it down and then was in near hysterics to pick it up again. Loved the games, it really added an interesting story line. Curran and Kate had a lot of progress in this book, which was wonderful. I'm so excited to read on.
Like the mercy Thompson series, Iâm just not that impressed with these stories. Kate Daniels is cool but Iâm about finished with her.
Better than book 2. I'm enjoying Kate's backstory. I like the inclusion of the various mythos. The storyline was not as deep as I would have liked, but Kate's snark kept me reading. However, Daniels loses me with her endings, which she apparently thinks have to be apocalypse-level. And although I know it is a big draw for many, I could do without the cringe-inducing relationship we've all known about since book 1. Feels so forced.
