Interesting story. Lucy is the daughter of a reclusive primatologist, who is rescued in the Congo by another primatologist and brought to the US. Fun excursions to the BWCA from Chicago. As it turns out Lucy is a test tube baby of sorts. Her dad engineered a female bonobo who had half human DNA and then bred this female with human DNA again. Lucy is brilliant, sweet, strong and pushes lots of ethical buttons for modern American culture, as you might imagine. A story of love and finding family in unlikely places, with a strong dose of ethical dilemma.
