This book was recommended to me by a professional survival instructor, so there's that.
Great stories of both survival and death. Interesting theories on why this happens to some and not others. Still, I couldn't shake the little comments this guy made about his ex wife (wives?), daughter, and the whole premise of the book revolving around his own daddy issues (dad falls out of a plane in WWII and survived, son never lives up to self-imposed expectations of greatness). On the whole, this book provided some useful mental tools that helped me get through a high intensity, high stress situation, so I'd recommend it to people facing similar situations, outdoorsy types, and anyone who loves a good tale of survival... or death.
