The bullying is real in this book. I liked that there are 3 “lords”…and the FMC is a step-sister. I enjoyed the dynamics of the college.

I feel like I've opened the premium, top ranked treasure chest of kinks. This book had many and I may have enjoyed them. Somnophilia and exhibitionism were not just supporting stars in this book, big hint people.
My rating did not change even after spending a whole day of not reading. Even after sacrificing the few hours of sleep I could get, for this book.
⚠️TW: graphic abuse, dub/non-con, bullying, murder, violence, grooming (implied), molest (implied)
THIS IS NOT SPOILER FREE
I have to admit - this book is probably the best in the bully trope that I've read so far. The trio of mischief: Killian, Tristian and Rath pissed me off with their arrangement. Or should I say... sexual tactics? But this book delivered what it promised: bullying. Maybe not intense but it was there.
I'm not saying that this is a real dark book as advertised but it had some elements of it. Some. Which could have been way darker.
Let's start with this, Fuck, Marry or Kill. Because why not? So I'd:
Fuck - Tristian
Marry - Rath
Kill- Killian
I should not pick a favourite in this book but every reader says that and still picks one which is what I'll do too. My favourite in a harem is always the emo and quiet one, apparently. And I think its crystal clear in this book that would be Dimitri Rathbone. He just gives the I'll-protect-you-even-from-yourself vibes that you can't help running towards. And he's musically inclined, I mean those fingers are definitely of use right? He can play me like how he plays the piano. Although there was something that he said that made me stomp on his dick in my mind, he's nice most of the time.
I absolutely hated Killian in this book. He wasn't man enough to admit his feelings for his stepsister so he chose a cowardly way to hide it - by bullying her. Honestly dude should have just rammed himself into a wall until his brain fog cleared. But then again where can that small dick energy bring him other than to Story's room when she's sleeping?
Story (I couldn't get used to this name until the end) did have fire to her in this book, there's a reason why she went back to the same trio that messed her up in the first place, why would anyone willingly go into the arms of people who humiliated them? She went in strong, she had a plan in her mind and she was prepared for whatever the trio threw her away. My only issue was that I felt sometimes her grand plan was forgotten and she became soft. This was probably due to her curiosity about the boys after she interacted with them but I would have wanted her to maintain the fire throughout the book.
Tristian, Tristian Mercer is a hard one to like and dislike. Honestly I'm on the fence about him because he is like a chameleon, changing according to the situation and room. Not very hero-ish but not an asshole entirely either. I think I will probably stuff myself with all the gluten filled food in front of him just so he can punish me later, two birds in a stone right? Every time my impression of him becomes good he always said or did something to screw that up. He has brought my trust issues to sky high now. But I'd say he's not even half as bad as Killian, that psycho is the worst.
I liked them, okay not Kill obviously but I liked the other two for who they were individually. They weren't just sex crazed, each had their own thing going, they had their own interests and there wasn't any depending on one another. Of course Killian had to go around causing drama unnecessarily but I felt the other two had some hope in them, they'll be able to exist without Killian. This aspect really motivated me to keep reading the book because if they didn't have a personality then I would have dropped this exactly 13% in.
So the plotline of the whole Forsyth U frat thing? I didn't give a damn. I just skimmed the whole thing and couldn't be bothered to know what is a Count or a Duke or their names. I felt it was unnecessary - we've got it that they're boring frats, let's move onto something else. They're all in college and still immature anyway. The fact that the trio are called Lords and the girl who becomes their need provider (or in cruder words, sex slave) is called Lady, I don't know what to do about it other than to laugh. They're not lord worthy, includes Rathbone even though I'm a little soft for him. I literally could not care about their point system of the frats or petty pranks they make on each other to get to the top, all of this is kid's play. This was the aspect that I think completely dulled the "dark book" appeal the authors were going for.
But the game thing that the trio had going on between them was the aspect that made this book the most interesting. It's the very aspect that gave me anger too because who keeps tabs on how many points they get for some road head? The point system on getting Story of and the sexual interactions with her was ridiculous. I hated that it was all recorded and viewed by each other, I hated that they gave her excessive rules in the contract (this reminded me of the contract Mr Grey came up with but even he would raise his eyebrows at this)- if she didn't demand the trio to be shaved they don't get to do the same. What could go wrong with a little forest exploring? She signed on a contract to basically be at their beck and call, she didn't sign her rights and privacy over. But, without this the book wouldn't have been even half as interesting because it'd become just another typical RH book. I also hated the obsession they had with her virginity and dibs on who will take it first. It's not like they will display her blood on their bedpost and say "it's me folks, I won". It is hers to lose it to who she wants, not everyone has the luxury of a good first time. If her virginity was such a big deal it shouldn't have been portrayed so loosely like this.
I do think that this book isn't dark so I was honestly fine with the dub/non con scenes. Though it may be triggering to some so please read at your own caution.
Do I think this harem is worth it? Honestly no. I know that Tristian and Rath can be tolerable but Killian in the harem... no it isn't. The only part of him that I liked was the somnophilia, that's really it. There's nothing else worth it to him. Maybe he should have just remained in Story's room for the entire book.
