I am obsessed with this story. Probably in an unhealthy way, but like….its my favorite trope and it was actually freaking amazing. I love Alan and Liam’s story so much. And it was FAKE DATING!!!!!! AHHHH

I also am from Detroit, so I immediately adored the setting. Detroit isn’t always commonly used as a place in books, so I was really drawn to that.

Alana was everything. I really loved her character, her spirit, her aura, and just her personality. I felt very connected to her and felt like she was a true powerhouse. I was just so in love with her. Liam…..BEST BOOK BOYFRIEND EVER! Because honey…he was amazing. I really could see how he loved her, and cared about her. I also really appreciated the way he just took his time to get his second chance with her.

I adored them as a couple. They just felt right for each other. I know they spent time apart, but they were meant to be together and you could absolutely tell. Especially when he started to take her on dates to show her how it would feel. I loved their banter, and the way they would communicate. He just really knew her and knew her world.

I loved that this story had such a strong family dynamic, but also talked about not so strong families. This story was also about setting boundaries within yourself, your family and your career. I just appreciated how impactful that was.

I hope to see a story about Maxine and Teddy. I think there is something there for sure.

Overall, this was one of the best reads this year. Highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Thank you Sophie for writing this story! I absolutely enjoyed it and thank you Love Notes PR for this amazing read.
