Long Live the Pumpkin Queen: Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas

**THE INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER**

Read Sally's story in this young adult companion to Tim Burton'sThe Nightmare Before Christmas written by New York Times best-selling author Shea Ernshaw.

Jack and Sally are "truly meant to be" ... or are they?

Sally Skellington is the official, newly-minted Pumpkin Queen after a whirlwind courtship with her true love, Jack, who Sally adores with every inch of her fabric seams-- if only she could say the same for her new role as Queen of Halloween Town. Cast into the spotlight and tasked with all sorts of queenly duties, Sally can't help but wonder if all she's done is trade her captivity under Dr. Finkelstein for a different cage. But when Sally and Zero accidentally uncover a long-hidden doorway to an ancient realm called Dream Town, she'll unknowingly set into motion a chain of sinister events that put her future as Pumpkin Queen, and the future of Halloween Town itself, into jeopardy. Can Sally discover what it means to be true to herself and save the town she's learned to call home, or will her future turn into her worst... well, nightmare?

It's a wonderfully written book that gives more character to Sally. Readers get an insight to who she is and how she feels and delights in her rising to the position of queen of Halloween Town. A must read for fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas.

A bit slow to start but once it gets there, this is a pretty good read. Difficult to put down.

This book was an easy read and probably could be finished in a day or two, but I wanted to take my time enjoying this realm. The author did an amazing job telling the story of Sally and keeping true to the characters of Halloween Town.

Sally Skellington gets her own little adventure, and it's lovely.

The first 75 pages of this book are a little boring, drawn out and lacking that Nightmare Before Christmas spice. I did like seeing Sally going on her date with Jack, but besides that I was starting to worry of committing to the rest of the 100 pages. I don't know what genre this book falls under, YA? Nah, Children's? Too long, Everyone? Maybe.

I liked Sallys story, I loved the new Dream Town and how the book opens up ideas for continuation of a beloved fan classic. More than anything, I loved seeing Sally take Queenship on her own terms, and bring about change to the world that links them all together. I also loved her backstory and finding out that she did have a family and wasn't just a creation.

Overall, it wasn't bad, it was really good if you shave off the first chapters.
