This typically started slowly as all characters were developed. Then Dalton took the reader on a wild cat and mouse chase. He always dredges up interesting characters. His books often take a hairy ride to redemption.
Slower start. Felt sad a lot for the main character, but had a satisfying end, triumph and what she deserved.
A very Australian written novel. Loved the Australian language and could identify the locations mentioned . The story itself was sad but still had to turn each page to see what happened , wanting to know the whole story .
First Trent Dalton and it won’t be my last. Really well done and bonus points for being set in Brisbane. 9/10
Officially counting Trend Dalton as one of my favourite authors. Lola is a brilliant tale, beautifully told.
