Lie Lie Truth: A Psychological Thriller

Father had one rule:
Never go in his basement office-ever.

My dad, Dennis Kempman, had his quirks but was respected in our small town. That was until children began disappearing and he became the main suspect.

I started to believe what others were saying: My father was a killer.

Then it happens again. A little girl disappears in a similar way the others were taken.

Everything I thought I knew is revealed to be a lie.

But as I unravel the deception and deceit that the town was hiding, I realize the truth is much worse.
And the truth comes with a deadly price.

The timeline of Ali's childhood after her adoption didn't make sense. She was 11 years old and then she and Ethan were kissing and then three years later they're a couple and in 12th grade? Why did James do what he did when he found out the truth? Motivations behind the kidnappings and killings other than the fact that it made Denis's character appear to be twisted? It's a plot driven story overall. Narrative felt flat and I just had to stop.
