Molly McAdams has created a heartfelt story of love and loss and love again. Two years ago Grey and Jagger lost their best friend, and Grey's fiancee Ben. Grey had a difficult time coping with the loss, but Jagger was never far from her side. When Jagger's true feelings for Grey come out, she is at first shocked, but soon discovers that maybe it's time to move on, though guilt is strong on her mind as she isn't sure if she is betraying Ben's memory.
I loved the characters that Ms. McAdams has created. They are multidimensional and very complex. There are so many emotions that passed through me as I read LETTING GO. Sadness, anger, guilt, happiness, and contentment were all things I felt as I read the story.
Jagger and Grey are so good for each other in their love, and Jagger's sweet understanding of Grey in her grief and his patience as he waits for her to discover her feelings. Grey's family is wonderful, while Jagger's family is broken, but I loved his sister, Charlie and hope that she can find her HEA someday.
Most people are happy that Grey is finally able to move on, though there are a few that find her actions selfish. Ms. McAdams threw me for a loop though with a bombshell that comes toward the end of the story. Something that I never saw coming.
This was my first Molly McAdams's book, but it will not be my last. I look forward to discovering more of her characters and the world she puts them in.
