This is a story about a woman who became blind and how she overcame many of her difficulties. She is really an inspiring woman and became a motivational speaker. However, it is very heavy on religion and this may be off-putting to some. Even if you are not religious, you can still gain a lot of insight by reading this book.

Here's some parts I liked:
"The only difference becoming bitter and becoming better is the letter I. Approaching our difficulties from the standpoint of what I want, what I have lost, and what I think is fair, will embitter us." p.74

"We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." (Romans 5: 3-5)

"Hope is the confident expectation that God will use our painful circumstances for good." p. 95. After reading this I thought I might comfort others by sharing my painful experiences with others.

By sharing this online review, maybe I will be helping others.
