Kushiel's Dart

My boyfriend brought this for me because he thought it was smut but it wasn't and I'm not mad about that. This book is so intricate and I think its the first time I've read a book where the main character actually travels through/to every area in the map that's at the front of the book. Very well written.

Hands down my end all be all, I will die on this hill, favorite book.

Phedre is incredible, her story, the people she meets, the tragedies she endures, she's incredibly written and someone I would loved to meet in real life. Strong willed and so unbelievably smart and cunning. Carey's story building is unmatched for me. I picked this book up at 15 years old and it is the one and only reason I am the voracious reader I am today, it rekindled my love of books and reading. I have read almost everything by Jacqueline Carey and loved them all.
