I was slow getting into this book in the beginning until I got halfway through then the story started to pick up. The writing style was somewhat simple and the world-building wasn't as in-depth as expected it to be. However, once the story began to take off, I was hooked. I loved Emilia's character building going from a shy introvert to a demon-hunting, vengeful driven character, doing things that she never would've dreamed she'd do.
The slow-burning romance between Emilia and Wrath was perfect and I love the "enemies-to-lovers" trope, and the tension between them was just right and didn't seem forced or overdone. I loved the few romantic encounters that happened with them.
Overall, I really did enjoy this book and finished the book faster once the story got moving and I will keep reading the series to see what happens next.

The first few pages had me wondering if I’d get into this…. And then I stayed up until 4 am to finish it 🙌 Wrath 🖤 though at times slightly confusing with all the different worlds and players, this book provided me with what I needed; some magic, some steam, sexy af mmc, bad ass females, some political intrigue and a will they won’t they vibe.
Definitely liked the witchy vibes but I couldn’t get over how slow it was. The ongoing mystery is good of course but it seems a bit chaotic.
