It was supposed to be the lottery win they'd always dreamed of...

For fifteen years, Lexi and Jake have played the same six numbers with their friends. Over drinks, dinner parties and summer barbecues, the three couples have discussed the important stuff--kids, marriages, careers--and they've laughed off their disappointment when they failed to win anything.

But then the unthinkable happens. There's a rift in the group. Someone is caught in a lie. And soon after, six numbers come up that change everything forever.

Lexi and Jake have a ticket worth millions. And their friends are determined to claim a share.

My book club had a visceral reaction to this book, in a bad way. Whilst I agree that the writing left much to be desired (no teenagers think the way Adele Parks believes they do) and that there was pretty much no relatable or even nice characters, I didn't have as much issue with it as others did.

DNF Literally I could only read the first chapter before I quit. The writing style was atrocious and so jarring! I skimmed through for the plot as we were discussing it for book club, and jeeeesus christ- has Adele Parks ever heard a teenager talk in her life??? “I miss the smell of his musty balls” 🤢🤢🤢🤢 I genuinely threw this book in the bin after the bookclub (sorry)
