I fell in love with BB when Lilac came out and loved the connections and the raw feelings with the characters. In the Gray was no exception. Rowdy and Atlas were a wild ride couple.
Was there POC representation? heck yeah.
Was there an possessive, unhinged, alpha male? oh yes buddy.
Was there a strong woman that knows what she wants and how to take care of herself? you betcha.
I love the scene where there's an incident at the motel she's staying at and he tells her to stay in the car but she ignores it and brings "back up". I could imagine the look of confusion and awe in his eyes, like that's my girl.
Also the scene with the water bottle. IYKYK
The spice is just BB's addictive level. She knows how to write it and give it to you and saying thank you in the end.
This book took me through the loops and I couldn't put it down and a lot of you, you won't either.
Also, pssstttt, BB can you write Demi and Roc and baby girl Halo please!! Like even if it's a novella.

This is a dark romance novel, and the male main character is definitely dark. The author paints such a vivid picture of her characters and the town where the story takes place that I was engrossed in the story from the jump. I would definitely recommend this one to those who like a good gray character. Nothing is black and white.
