“We were all heading for each other on a collision course, no matter what. Maybe some people are just meant to be in the same story.”
At first, Jude and her twin brother are NoahandJude; inseparable. Noah draws constantly and is falling in love with the charismatic boy next door, while daredevil Jude wears red-red lipstick, cliff-dives, and does all the talking for both of them.
Years later, they are barely speaking. Something has happened to change the twins in different yet equally devastating ways . . . but then Jude meets an intriguing, irresistible boy and a mysterious new mentor.
The early years are Noah’s to tell; the later years are Jude’s. But they each have only half the story, and if they can only find their way back to one another, they’ll have a chance to remake their world.
From the acclaimed author of The Sky Is Everywhere, this exhilarating novel will leave you breathless and teary and laughing—often all at once.

It was hard to read and put me in a slump for months but i finished the book these past 3 day and it was pretty good . I was expecting to cry but i didnt. Overall it was good tho

Never before have I swooned over a guy kissing another guy. I truly felt a little twinge in my heart.
Jandy Nelson can write her butt off. Even if this wasn't a beautiful story with beautiful characters who have beautiful thoughts and beautiful feelings (although I assure you that it is and that it has all of these things), the words alone would be enough for me.
I am sure that there were flaws, but I was either oblivious to them or just didn't care to nitpick. I didn't read hardly anything about this book before reading, and I think it made it that much better for me. I am, for that reason, not going to say anything else about it other than dropping a few lines that I loved:
She's quiet and serious and a thousand years old and seems like she can talk to the wind.
I'm filled with something I can only describe as recognition. Not because he looks familiar on the outside this time, but because he feels familiar on the inside.
"I love you," I say to him, only it comes out, "Hey." "So damn much," he says back, only it comes out, "Dude." He still won't meet my eyes.

I'll give you the sun AND 5 stars.
A beautiful book that I’ve read more than 20 times. everytime i read, i discover more and more hidden gems
