Horror, disgust, are just 2 emotions you will feel as you read this true crime of 3 sisters who were physically, psychologically abused and tortured by their mother.

*If You Tell* by Gregg Olsen is a heartbreaking and gripping true crime account that delves into the horrific abuse suffered by the Knotek sisters at the hands of their mother, Shelly. Olsen masterfully captures the emotional toll of the sisters' journey, balancing raw trauma with a well-paced narrative. The story is haunting, yet compelling, making it hard to put down even as it reveals shocking details of cruelty. Olsen's writing brings the resilience of the survivors to the forefront, making this both a difficult and powerful read. A must for true crime fans seeking an emotional, well-written story.

With a storyline this tragic, the writing must be one of great storytelling. I felt this one missed the mark. A story that definitely needed to be told, but unfortunately left me feeling rather depressed.
