The New York Times bestseller from the beloved actress and Hollywood icon who's made us laugh on shows from The Mary Tyler Moore Show to Golden Girls to Saturday Night Live!

In this candid take on everything from the unglamorous reality behind red-carpet affairs to her beauty regimen (“I have no idea what color my hair is, and I never intend to find out”), Betty White shares her observations about life, celebrity, and love (for humans and animals). Filled with photos, If You Ask Me is funny, sweet, and straight to the point—just like Betty.

Betty White’s narration makes this memoir a joy to listen to. Her stories are funny, heartfelt, and surprisingly candid—like admitting she still got nervous with public speaking after all those years! I especially loved the behind-the-scenes moment from The Proposal with Sandra Bullock—hysterical and unexpected.

This book is a charming collection of short reflections from different points in her life. No heavy drama, just delightful snapshots. Highly recommend the audiobook for fans of Betty or anyone who loves a good memoir.

First time reading a Betty White memoir and by far she is one of the classiest and most deserving stars in Hollywood. Total respect and love for this amazing woman!

This was the perfect break to the longer books I have been reading. I love books like this that let you dive in to the more personal side of a celebrity. I absolutely love Betty White and all she stood for in both the acting world, paving the way for so many women in acting and her animal rights activism. Hearing her tell those stories for a brutally honest point of view is so refreshing. I really enjoyed the simplicity of this read and it's carefree nature.
