this started a 5/5 and stayed a 5/5 because I knew the plot. Reading the different POV though just made me love it that much more. It made it so much more authentic because like I’m always told there are 2 sides to every story.

I was so upset at the ending of book 1, I had to immediately read this one. Being from St. Louis the places were familiar making it even more real. It's a page-turner that takes you on an emotional roller coaster. The storyâs depth and intensity creates such a compelling narrative thatâs hard to put down. With each chapter, you are drawn deeper into the characters' lives and their secrets, making it a truly gripping read. You feel their pain. If you have lost someone and have so many things that you wish you would have said, or that you wonder how could you miss. It will hit you hard. Nowlin's writing style is both powerful and poignant, capturing the raw emotions and complex relationships that drive the story. For anyone looking for a novel that will keep them engaged from start to finish and leave them feeling deeply moved, this book is a must-read.

This book basically explains everything I didn't understand in the 1st book, but we get an additional story from other characters showing us how they move on after Finny's death.

I wish Finny's dad got to spend more time with him.
