I Know Who You Are

From the New York Times and international bestselling author of Sometimes I Lie comes a brand new, highly anticipated, dark and twisted thriller: I Know Who You Are.

Meet Aimee Sinclair: the actress everyone thinks they know but can’t remember where from.

Except one person.

Someone knows Aimee very well.

They know who she is and they know what she did.

When Aimee comes home and discovers her husband is missing, she doesn’t seem to know what to do or how to act. The police think she’s hiding something and they’re right, she is—but perhaps not what they thought. Aimee has a secret she’s never shared, and yet, she suspects that someone knows. As she struggles to keep her career and sanity intact, her past comes back to haunt her in ways more dangerous than she could have ever imagined.

In I Know Who You Are, Alice Feeney proves that she is a master of brilliantly complicated plots and killer twists that will keep you guessing until the final page.

This is definitely a psyche/suspense/thriller with several twists. I liked the writing style; alternating chapters of Aimee in present day and Aimee in the past. At first you don't know that the past story is about Aimee so I liked the anticipation of knowing that somehow the two stories would merge. The chapters are short; I was always left wanting to read more and find out what's next. There is definitely abuse of children, animals and adults so if that makes you squeamish, you might want to skip the book altogether.
The premise of the book is that Aimee's husband has gone missing after a fight but has left all his personal belongings behind. Where is he? Does Aimee know what happened? As unsettling as this may be, Aimee continues with her day to day job as an actress, going to work and wrap parties. :/ Like I said, the 2 stories eventually merge but what the f*uck! The twist at the very end (last 10 pages) really blew it for me. Way too much ick factor, just ick. So over the top, what a bizarre "ending", could have been so much better. And I never understood why Aimee wouldn't tell the police about her past. That could've made the ending so different. So I am still giving 3 stars because I was really enjoying the book, creepy suspense, until the final few pages.

2.5⭐️ rounded up since audio performance was great.
Too dark and far fetched twists to get over. The abuse storylines (child, animal, spouse) and the ending just was a NO for me. This is not this author's best work.

This was okay. The twist was good but almost too insane. Overall I didn’t love it but I would read another by this author. 6/10
