What a freaking emotional rollercoaster ride! I've been breadcrumbed, catfished, and bamboozled, to say the least. This is a very gripping novel that I wished I could have read from start to finish but unfortunately, I had too many library books out and due around the same time.
All I can say is towards the end, I suspected everyone but the person who did it, and their motive was so far-fetched and yet believable. Outstanding!
So if it’s so outstanding, why did I give it 4 stars out of 5? Because I really dislike her stupid husband and his stupid sister, Caitlin. When the chips are down for Allie, I found them both to be distasteful, arrogant, and they deserve the worst. There, I said it.
“ I spent the first hour of the party wandering around, trying to slip into other women’s conversations, feeling like a moth who keeps banging her head onto the glass, a creature too dumb to know she’s outside and is never getting in.“ p2
